Andrzej Krajewski, illustrator, painter and graphic designer influenced by Pop Art, was born in 1933 in Poznań, Poland, and studied at the Department of Graphic Arts of the Warsaw Academy. Since 1985 he has lived and worked in the United States. His work has been exhibited at the Warsaw International Poster Biennial, the Osaka Biennial of Illustrations and has several solo exhibitions in London, Stockholm, Paris, Tokyo and Helsinki and at the Warsaw Poster Museum.

He has published over 250 posters and is considered one of the greatest contemporary art poster artists in the world

ANDRZEJ KRAJEWSKI

Andrzej Krajewski, illustratore, pittore e grafico influenzato dalla Pop Art, è nato nel 1933 a Poznań, in Polonia, e ha studiato presso il Dipartimento di Arti Grafiche dell’Accademia di Varsavia. Dal 1985 ha vissuto e lavorato negli Stati Uniti. Il suo lavoro è stato esposto alla International Poster Biennial di Varsavia, alla Biennale di Illustrazioni di Osaka e ha diverse mostre personali a Londra, Stoccolma, Parigi, Tokyo e Helsinki e al Poster Museum di Varsavia.

Con una carriera che ha attraversato più di mezzo secolo, ha creato dipinti nel suo stile inconfondibile art-deco e in stile pop art.

Andrzej Krajewski era conosciuto in Polonia per i suoi manifesti cinematografici, vincendo per questi molti premi internazionali.

In America è stato l’artista ufficiale del New York Film Academy.
