The Last Temptation of Christ
from Scorsese’s film
comes to life in Fred Lobo Lopez’s work created for Soggettiva Gallery.
Scorsese’s The Last Temptation of Christ is an intense and controversial reinterpretation: it humanizes Christ by showing doubt, desire, and fragility, transforming faith into a painful choice rather than a predetermined destiny.
More than representing Christ, Lobo Lopez seems to interrogate the universal human condition: suffering as a space of possibility, where doubt does not weaken faith, but makes it real, concrete, and inevitably human.
