Cartoonist and animator Derek M. Ballard was born out of animation and has worked as a writer and storyboard artist (Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time and Netflix’s The Midnight Gospel) as well as graphic novels. For more than two decades, Ballard has produced characters with peculiar anatomy immersed in a sci-fi setting, sometimes ruthless, sometimes funny.

2023 marks the 20th anniversary of Visual Technicians, Jeff Boyes’ digital art project. An expert linoleum and screenprinter, in the last 10 years he has worked regularly for various art galleries in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Vancouver. He has worked on projects for TV shows such as Lost, Breaking Bad and Modern Family. In 2013 for the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences he produced a screenprint of the film “Lincoln” for the Oscars

I’m a tattoo artist and painter from Denver. My paintings have an illustrative style. I use the female figure almost every time I paint. I think I started drawing big-eyed babies when I first saw Precious Moments. I think my mom had some trading cards and I had some coloring books. I have always been attracted to eyes in art. Afterwards I was enchanted by the art of tattooing. My paintings wouldn’t be what they are without the tattoos and vice versa.

Teo Zirinis wanted to become an oceanographer like Jacques Cousteau. Illustration was just a hobby, while he studied archeology and worked as a tennis instructor. Then the self-taught passion grew, turning into a real job. The visual gags of the illustrator, originally from Athens, have a simple style. The themes he addresses are linked to everyday life and are personified by objects and characters that are part of the common imagination
