Tracie Ching was born in Hawaii and later moved to New Jersey. She holds a degree in Fine Art before turning to digital illustration and portraiture. Ching is  known for her work as a designer on the official inaugural poster for President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, the viral KavaNope poster, and initiatives promoted by Michelle Obama. Ching’s work has been exhibited at the Getty Museum and the Design Museum in London and in the permanent collection of the Library of Congress and the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. She is the founder and lead mentor of the two-year We Create Mentorship & Grant program.
