The exhibItion TIM BURTON’S NIGHTMARE…<\/strong> from November 18, exactly one year after the opening of Subjective Gallery, evokes the dark world of Tim Burton in all its nuances thanks to a selection of extraordinary Alternative Movie Posters.

THE ARTWORKS<\/strong><\/h2>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

On this occasion, too, Soggettiva Gallery has commissioned several original works<\/strong>: the representation of a cornerstone of the Burtonian poetics such as Edward Scissorhands<\/strong> has been entrusted to the fairy-tale craftsmanship of Veronica Chessa<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Fredlobo Lopez<\/strong> has instead ventured with Batman<\/strong>, whose version directed by Burton and played by Michael Keaton<\/strong> and Jack Nicholson<\/strong> is still among the most loved by the fans of the superhero, and with Sweneey Todd<\/strong>, the latter among the best performances offered by Johnny Depp<\/strong> during his long artistic collaboration with Burton.

THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE…

There is a before and after The Nighmare Before Christmas<\/strong>, although the film was in fact directed by Henry Selick<\/strong>: Burton gives life to a jewel of stop-motion animation that completely overturns the traditional Christmas imagery<\/strong> with a story where skeletons and ghosts show more vitality than many living beings, like in Mark Bell<\/strong>\u2019s poster. Simone Macciocchi<\/strong> has further honored the film with a series of unique works, including “scratches” on black paper and fabric collage on cardboard.

SWIMMING IN A CHOCOLATE RIVER

Max Dalton<\/strong>, on the other hand, was inspired by The Chocolate Factory<\/strong>, based on the novel by Roald Dahl<\/strong>, which Burton was able to transpose into his own sinister and very personal imagination. Rupesco<\/strong> also pays tribute to the film with a work that plays on the reflections coming from the famous glasses of Willy Wonka. From the story has been drawn a new film chapter<\/strong>: one more reason to appreciate the film by Burton and its poster.<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
